Please read the rules regarding character appability.
CONTACT/TEAM PREFERENCES
A comment separate from your app with your name, email, and team preferences. Making it a separate comment lets us keep it screened, thus keeping your team preferences private.
For the time zone field, feel free to make a note if working bizarre hours makes you effectively on a different time zone than stated.
"Team preferences" is a catch-all field for any thoughts you might have regarding your character's placement. For example, you might want a team that will put up with your character's sociopathy, or has a certain "feel" to it, or is friendly to your time zone, or maybe you don't think your character looks good in orange, and so on! This is also the spot to let us know if there are teams you DON'T want to be on. While you're not required to put anything here, don't say you have no preference unless you really, honestly have NOTHING to say on the subject! If you've already apped and realized you'd forgotten something? Make another comment!
THE APP
Character Name: self-explanatory
Canon: If the canon has multiple versions, please be specific.
Reference Link: A wiki link is preferable, but anything that has a summary of the canon works. If there is no picture on your link, please provide a reference picture as well. If there is really nothing to link, write a short (no more than 200 words) description of the canon and character appearance.
Character History: A brief summary of your character's background. Only the highlights, please! This section should not be more than 300 words long.
Personality: Can be longer than the history, if necessary, but again, please try to be succinct.
Writing Sample: For this section, you have two choices:
1. Fill out an IC survey (copypaste below)
2. Write a first or third person sample on the subject of your choice. (~300-500 words)

Re: Agrias Oaks | Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Canon: Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Reference Link: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Agrias_Oaks
Character History: Agrias appears to have grown up in a low-ranking noble family of Ivalice, a Final Fantasy country with Shakespearean setting flavors. Setting aside "womanly pursuits," Agrias was brought up to be a Holy Knight, meant to serve her country and the Church of Glabados. She was educated by the Church, trained in a military academy and climbed the military ranks to become a member of the Lionsguard, the sword and shield of the royal family -- ultimately named captain of Princess Ovelia's entourage at Orbonne Monastery.
Ivalice is in the throes of a war of succession, so when an attack on the monastery results in the kidnapping of Ovelia, Agrias pursues the kidnappers relentlessly, finding herself and protagonist Ramza Beolve walking into a conspiracy of epic proportions including familial backstabbing and demonic possession. Discovering both the nobility and the Church are rotten to the core, when Agrias finally sees her charge to a relatively safe place, she finds herself compelled to leave her there, traveling with Ramza and becoming a heretic by association out of the desire to cut the corruption out of the country and prepare the way for her princess' rule.
The party prevents the return of a terrible demon that the Church has been portraying as a Jesus figure, but as heretics our heroes are unable to return to the country, which is still primarily controlled by the Church, such that the records of their deeds are covered up and anyone who tries to expose the truth is executed.
Personality: Agrias is a (female) model of knightly idealism. Though signs of her low-ranking upbringing bleed through in some uncouth displays of temper -- banging her fist on things and swearing loudly when something goes horribly wrong and social faux pas such as calling some of the less believable Church teachings "faery tales" right to a Cardinal's face -- she generally appears to have built her entire identity around chivalry.
The woman is primarily concerned with fulfilling her duty, first doing whatever she can for those she owes loyalty to, and second to protecting people in need. As a result she generally presents herself as stiffly formal, all business and ready to threaten those who would commit an injustice. With a steely personality, Agrias isn't afraid to speak her mind or scold someone for an impropriety. Beneath that brusque exterior, however, is a quiet and intelligent woman who likes to chill with a drink in a pub and people-watch; someone quick to defer to directions from companions she can trust, because she would rather work with comrades and have their endeavors succeed than feed her own ego. She professes that she left feminine pursuits behind, but is depicted as softening up in a private moment of peace to enjoy the beauty of nature, or appreciating and trying on a friend's gift of makeup. She doesn't regret denying herself a more ladylike life, but she can enjoy scraps of it when the opportunity arises.
It's not just her duty to protect the gentle and weak -- she genuinely likes them and wants to shelter them, to be able to watch them continue being moe. This is evidenced in her sympathy for the stress politics puts on her princess, watching over her ward as the princess plays a grass flute, or even expressing her genuine fondness for the party's derpy engineer whom she rescues. And overall, as long as she doesn't fail those she would protect, she's content with her life as a knight, even if that means risking her honorable reputation being labelled a heretic.
Writing Sample:
01. If given a choice, what would you like to be called?
Merely that which is my proper title, my lady. You may know me as Lady Agrias Oaks, knight of the Lionsguard.
02. Do you require socks to be part of your uniform?
I should hope so. To serve without would be an inconvenience, for though socks seem the least of garments, one's feet may bleed for lack of them.
03. Not including mandatory periods of silence, what is the longest you have gone without talking?
The time was not marked, lady, else be assured I would answer in full honesty. I am most inclined to remember the whole of such experiences when propriety calls for it, rather than when my tongue is held merely out of habit.
04. Are you plagued by suspicions that other people, including coworkers and relatives, may be doing things behind your back that will hurt you?
If my countenance appears suspicious of certain figures, it is merely a wariness born from experience of evil men's machinations. I have the utmost confidence in the honor of my entourage and family, though I can say without a doubt that it is common for those outside that circle to act out of more base self-interest.
05. Other than a large egret, what wild animal would you like to domesticate?
How, my lady, a wild animal? A Chocobo would make a dear companion and a fine mount, but attend me now. I am a knight, and though I have a fondness for the splendors with which God has graced our world, I've no time to rear an animal of my own.
06. Are you functionally incapacitated by witnessing other people's misery?
My memory is steeped with the injustices knaves have visited upon those who could not defend themselves. It does not serve to deter me -- quite the opposite, even. A knight must steel himself, so that he may introduce those same knaves to the steel of justice's blade.
07. What is your favorite flatware for, purely as an example, eating cake?
A plate and fork, as etiquette demands.
08. Do you trust yourself?
As with any, I have my shame and failures. We are imperfect beings, struggling to survive in an imperfect world. Yet for all that we lack, we cannot let ourselves be overwhelmed by it, for to falter in this respect is to allow doubt to bind us more thoroughly than our harshest enemies.
09. Please list a crime that only you would know that you have committed.
I do not commit crimes, and I should thank my lady not to speak such insulting assumptions again! Once have I been charged with wrongdoing, and even that was a false charge; should any persist in attempting to tear apart my honor, they will find an argument in my blade.
10. If you disappeared tomorrow would anyone miss you?
I can think of a small few, but these people know my loyalty shall guide me back to their sides once again when my toils are complete. It shall be as though I had never left. Such was my vow to those esteemed persons.
