Relaxation vaults aren't really the same in this game as they are in portal canon. Characters live in quarters with their teammates, so they aren't solitary dwellings in the first place. Specific details on what each team's dwelling area looks like can be found here. Any room within a team's dwelling can be accessed by any member of that team. The common room doc in the google docs I just linked also explains how the elevators to access each team vault are laid out.

It is possible to visit another team's vault if a member of that team is escorting you or if your character has stolen/borrowed/somehow acquired a uniform belonging to that team. The security cameras recognize team colors and unlock the elevator when someone wearing the right team color stands in view of them, so that's how that works.

WOW! I didn't expect such a fast reply! Thank you both for answering! Thank you as well for clearing that up. I looked at the docs and that helped a lot!

One more question for the both of you, I noticed on the taken and dropped characters that some are still on the taken characters. I don't want to app any of them but was curious as to why that is. I understand that you can choose to have a 'good ending' and be sent back, is that the case here?
