I had to go back and reread some of the canon since it was somewhat ambiguous, so my original comment is not entirely correct.

Essentially, this character (Yuki from Shounen Dolls) is normally an unmoving doll during the day time, but, when kissed (as a doll) by someone who feels affection toward him, he's able to turn into a proper human during the night. Other than turning back into a doll by morning, he seems to function like a normal human being.

Actually, that should be okay. He would have a clone of the human version of his body, and be a human all of the time.
